Barrow-in-Furness or Filton – Hybrid – Barrow: 2 days a fortnight onsite; Filton: 1 day a week onsite, depending on business needsSalary:

Functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipmentAuthoring and reviewing technical documentationManaging associated technical risks, assumptions and dependenciesProviding advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplinesEngaging with customers and suppliers to provide solutions to complex problemsTaking a leading role by guiding more junior members of the team through the systems definition processOpportunity to travel to various locations throughout the UK, including various BAE, customer and supplier sitesYour skills and experiences
EssentialDegree qualified Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering experienceEngineering Chartership required (or significant progress towards Chartership can be demonstrated)Significant knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systemsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsBenefits

Working on the UK’s next-generation SSN design that incorporates technology from the UK, Australia and the United States you will be part of the Electrical Power team responsible for defining the needs of equipment, defining the system elements required to feed into the submarine design and build process, including design documentation, spatial modelling and build outputs.
