Tate is recruiting a Retail Assistant to support the smooth and efficient running of the shop at a Historical Visitors Site. This role offers the chance to make a real impact in a unique cultural environment by helping visitors and customers access a diverse and historic product range.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Supporting monthly and annual sales, profit and shrinkage targets.
• Delivering consistently high customer service and responding positively during busy periods.
• Proactively engaging customers to maximise sales and processing transactions accurately.
• Picking, packing and dispatching online orders within agreed service levels.
• Keeping the shop stocked, merchandised and maintained to visual standards.
• Participating in stock takes and following cash handling and security procedures.

Skills / experience:

The ideal candidate offers excellent customer service and strong verbal communication, with good personal presentation and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. They will be adaptable, quick to learn new information and able to support sales activity, while maintaining the physical capability to move stock and carry out tasks safely.
