Position: Electrical Day Shift Leader
Location: City of London
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum + Overtime
Hours: Continental Days Only Shift Pattern
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Day Shift Leader to join the on-site team at a high-profile commercial facility in the City of London. This is a fantastic chance to step into a leadership role within a well-established site, offering strong training, progression, and long-term stability.
 
What you''ll do:

• Lead the day-to-day engineering operations on site, ensuring all building services systems are maintained safely and efficiently.
• Carry out electrical planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive works across systems including lighting, power distribution, and associated plant.
• Perform fault finding, isolations, and small works across electrical systems.
• Supervise and support engineers on shift, ensuring high standards of work and compliance are met.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with statutory regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with management and stakeholders regarding site performance and works.

• City & Guilds / NVQ in Electrical Installations (essential).
• Proven experience within commercial building services or facilities maintenance.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or lead engineer role (desirable).
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Current or previous High Voltage (HV) experience/status (desirable).
• A proactive leadership approach with strong communication skills.
