As a Principal Advisory Lawyer, you will play a leading role at the General Dental Council, providing strategic and risk-based legal advice across a wide range of complex and high profile regulatory, wider public and commercial law matters. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading a team of lawyers ensuring the provision of accurate, timely, cost-effective and risk-based advice. Working proactively with senior stakeholders across the organisation to identify legal risk and design and implement mitigations. Contributing to decision-making and overseeing strategic and high-risk litigation. Critiquing draft legislation and working with external advisors on specialist matters. Contributing to the delivery of the GDC s corporate strategy and costed corporate plan. Identifying legal issues and working proactively with colleagues to highlight and mitigate these where possible.
