Our Commercial and Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia and leisure, industrial and distribution, data centres, retail and health and education. The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the

in their highly complex market!
Responsibilities
Deliver code-compliant, high-quality structural steelwork solutions that meet client requirements and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Have a sound understanding of engineering principles and be able to work with external clients and internal stakeholders to produce practical design solutions
Carry out structural analysis and design to produce calculations for building regulations submission
Produce detailed design sketches to convey to draughtsperson with due regard to buildability and health and safety
Liaise with internal and external design teams to ensure the design brief is clear and a compliant design is produced
Assess, design and clearly define temporary works requirements
Ensure compliance with the company operating procedures, quality assurance, statutory safety legislation and contractual responsibilities
Take responsibility for all technical aspects of a project and provide assistance to junior engineers
Required Skills And Experience
Extensive knowledge of structural steelwork design including complex solutions and temporary works solutions
Experience in Design Management
A good understanding of buildability issues on major construction sites as well as in the fabrication shop
Required Qualifications
Degree or Masters Degree in civil / structural engineering
Preferably Chartered Structural Engineer MIStructE
