Key Responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineer
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Lead and deliver major CI initiatives using Lean tools such as Kaizen, SMED, Six Sigma, 5S, 8D, and Value Stream Mapping
• Identify waste, implement process optimisation strategies, and embed best practice across the production area
• Drive error-proofing, process control improvements, and robust standardisation

Manufacturing Engineering & NPI Support

• Develop, validate, and refine manufacturing processes to meet demanding quality and compliance standards
• Support New Product Introduction activities from early concept through to industrialisation and launch
• Specify, commission, and validate manufacturing equipment, tooling, jigs, and fixtures

Cost, Performance & Investment

• Deliver cost reduction through value engineering, cycle time improvement, and automation opportunities
• Prepare CapEx justifications, create investment proposals, and support project delivery
• Provide technical input into long-term capital planning

About You
You''re an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who is disciplined, analytical, and proactive. You enjoy solving complex production issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and influencing continuous improvement on the shop floor. You bring a practical mindset, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.

Requirements for Manufacturing Engineer Role

• HND/Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
• Strong background in high-volume or advanced manufacturing (automotive experience ideal)
• Practical experience applying Lean methodology and structured problem-solving tools
• Understanding of automated assembly systems, tooling, and test equipment
• Confident interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification beneficial
• Experience delivering CapEx or equipment introduction projects desirable
