Job Introduction At Turning Point, we support people across the UK with mental health issues. As a Peer Recovery Worker, you''ll make a real difference to their lives, as you work closely with residents to help them achieve their potential. At Milestone, we provide a residential service that supports and assists people with a forensic mental health history. Using the ''Recovery'' approach, we support them to take an active part in their own care, enabling them to successfully integrate back into the community. Role Responsibility As a Peer Recovery Worker, with lived experience, you''ll make a real difference to residents'' lives as you improve their daily living skills. By providing a person-centred care, you''ll deliver a range of support through 121 sessions and group work. Ultimately, you''ll play a vital role in helping them to gain skills and coping strategies, all while encouraging positive change and independence. You will be working closely with a team of Recovery Workers and Project Workers, as well as site based specialists, such as a Dual Diagnosis Lead, an Occupational Therapist, and a Resettlement Co-ordinator to ensure residents are provided with the optimum level of support. The role requires you to work day/late shifts Monday to Sunday throughout the year.
