This role is crucial for ensuring that the office environment is welcoming and ready for employees the next day. Below is a list of typical duties and responsibilities for an evening cleaning operative: General Cleaning Duties: Clean and disinfect all restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and countertops. Replenish restroom supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. Ensure restrooms are stocked, clean, and presentable at all times. Clean and sanitize kitchen counters, sinks, and appliances (microwave, refrigerator, etc.). Empty trash bins and replace liners in kitchen and break room areas. Ensure that dishes and utensils are cleaned and stored properly. Load and unload the dishwashers Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from all areas of the office. Ensure that waste is sorted correctly according to recycling guidelines. Clean and set up meeting rooms for the next day, including arranging furniture and ensuring equipment is functional. Wipe down tables, chairs, furniture, windowsill and skirting boards and after meetings. Maintain carpets by vacuuming and spot cleaning as needed.
