Fire and Security Engineer
Location: Birmingham | Full-Time
Salary: -35,000 - -40,000 (Depending on Experience)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join a reputable fire and security company in the Birmingham area. • Installation & Servicing:
  Install, service, and maintain a wide range of fire and security systems, including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.

• Fault-Finding & Repairs:
  Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure systems are fully operational and meet safety standards.

• Commissioning & Testing:
  Commission and test systems to ensure compliance with relevant standards, and complete all required documentation and reports.

• Customer Support:
  Provide excellent customer service, including advising clients on system use, maintenance, and any necessary upgrades or improvements.

• Compliance & Documentation:
  Ensure all work complies with industry standards and regulations, and maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and time sheets.

• Problem-Solving & Reporting:
  Address any technical issues quickly and effectively while keeping clients informed throughout the process. Report on work completed and any follow-up requirements.

• Experience with Fire and Security Systems:
  Proven experience with the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control.

• Technical Skills:
  Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repair skills.

• Knowledge of British Standards and Regulations:
  Understanding of current fire and security regulations, including fire safety compliance and relevant standards.

• Full UK Driving Licence:
  A valid UK driving licence is required for travel to and from client sites.

• Positive, Can-Do Attitude:
  Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong customer service skills and professionalism at all times.

• Experience with specific systems such as Galaxy or other major security brands.

• CSCS or ECS card.

• IPAF or PASMA certifications.

• Previous experience working in commercial and residential environments.

• Salary: -35,000 - -40,000, depending on experience.
