As a People and Organisational Development Assistant Business Partner, you will:Support the PandOD Team to influence and drive the strategic people agenda.Help implement the People and OD Strategy, building trusted relationships with senior managers.Coach and support line managers to improve workforce plans and people management practices.Support workforce planning initiatives, including talent management and succession planning.Analyse and present people performance data, identifying trends and advising on actions.Act as a change enabler to support organisational development and manage complex employee relations issues.Champion DHCW''s values and behaviours, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.Deputise for the PandOD Business Partner in meetings, providing insights and recommendations.What We\''re Looking For
We\''re looking for a people professional with a solid foundation in HR or organisational development, ideally educated to degree level (or with equivalent experience). You will bring proven knowledge gained through hands-on experience at this level, alongside a track record of continuous professional development. To succeed in this role, you\''ll need significant experience working in people-focused roles, up-to-date knowledge of employment law and best practice, and confidence in working in partnership with Trade Unions.What You Will Bring
You\''ll bring strong interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to coach and influence managers to improve workforce planning and people management practices. Your experience of managing employee relations will enable you to handle complex situations with professionalism and integrity. If you also hold CIPD membership, management experience, or knowledge of the NHS or wider health sector, that would be a welcome advantage. Qualifications and KnowledgeEssentialDegree in an associated professional field (or equivalent qualification / experience).Knowledge gained through practical experience of working at this level, across the range of work procedures and practices.Evidence of continuous professional development.DesirableAssociate member CIPD.Knowledge of the NHS, other healthcare systems, or the health sector, including regional or national variations.ExperienceEssentialSignificant experience of working as a people professional.Experience of working in partnership with Trade Unions.Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and good practice in managing employee relations.DesirableManagement experience
