Location: Hybrid (1-2 days a week in office) Rate: Outside IR35 Duration: 12-18 months (potential path to permanent) We are looking for a senior Platform Operations leader to rapidly stabilise and uplift operational maturity while maintaining live operations at a major health insurance organisation undergoing large-scale transformation, including cloud migration, network modernisation, and organisational change. This hands-on leadership role focuses on operational stability, leading major incidents, and improving reliability across internal and vendor teams. Key Responsibilities Stabilise operations and drive operational maturity through improved processes, governance, and service reliability. Lead major incident (P1) response, coordinate teams and vendors, and ensure post-incident learning is applied. Introduce operational cadence, SLAs/SLOs, and observability improvements. Support cloud migration, network transformation, and hybrid environment stability. Lead internal teams (-30-50) and vendors (-100) across UK and India. Qualifications andamp; Experience Director/Head of Platform or Infrastructure Operations, or Head of SRE experience. Proven track record of stabilising live environments and improving operational maturity. Incident leadership, DR, reliability, and SRE principles experience. Experience managing large distributed teams and multi-vendor environments. Regulated environments experience required.
