Nursery Assistant – Flexible Work Across Chelmsford!

As a Nursery Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery and ensuring children are safe, happy, and engaged. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with daily routines, including meals, playtime, toileting, and naps

• Supporting the learning and development of children aged 0–5

• Engaging children in creative, educational, and outdoor activities

• Helping to maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment

• Promoting positive behaviour and building strong relationships with children and staff

• Working closely with nursery staff to ensure each child’s individual needs are met

• A genuine passion for working with children

• Some experience in an early years setting (paid or voluntary) is desirable

• A Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification is a bonus, but not essential – we welcome unqualified candidates with the right attitude and experience

• Willingness to obtain or already have a DBS on the Update Service

• A flexible, proactive, and friendly approach
