Class 1 (HGV 1) Drivers - Banbury
Location: Banbury
Pay Rate: £15.90 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary
Working Hours: Start times between 05:00 - 19:00 | Average shift length: 10-15 hours
Pertemps are recruiting professional Class 1 Drivers to work on behalf of a well-established Banbury-based company. This is an excellent opportunity to support our client with long-term holiday and sickness cover, with shifts initially available throughout December and January.

Key Responsibilities:
" Adherence to Safety & Regulations: Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure full compliance with tachograph and driving regulations.
" Efficient & Safe Deliveries: Carry out nationwide deliveries, primarily trunk runs to RDCs, ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time.
" Multidrop Work: Average of 6-7 drops or collections per shift.
" Time & Self-Management: Maintain an organised, efficient schedule and uphold all company standards.
" Professional Standards: Represent Pertemps and our client with professionalism, both in appearance and conduct.

Requirements:
" Licence & Experience: Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C E) licence with a minimum of 180 days of recent Class 1 driving experience (within the last 2 years).
" CPC & Insurance Compliant: Valid CPC DQC and digital tachograph card. Maximum of 6 penalty points accepted (no DR or IN endorsements).
" Regulation Knowledge: Good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph rules.
" Customer Focused: Strong communication skills with a professional, flexible, and positive approach to work.
