Description
The Head of Direct Procurement will be responsible for;
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise costs and support business objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead contract negotiations and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
- Oversee the procurement team to drive performance and professional development.
- Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to ensure operational continuity.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
Profile
A successful Head of Direct Procurement should have:
- Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management within the industrial or manufacturing sectors.
- A strong track record of successfully leading procurement teams and driving cost efficiencies.
- Proven expertise in supplier relationship management and contract negotiations.
- Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and implement effective solutions.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in procurement or supply chain management.
- Available in Bristol office - 3 days per week 2 from home
Job Offer
