Immediate start Long term role Possible permanent Excellent secondary school Intervention Tutors required in a secondary academy based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.Generally, the main purpose of an Intervention Tutor is to enable students who are underachieving to reach their target attainment levels by providing coaching and activities outside of the main activities of the wider student group. Typically, the role of Intervention Tutor will include the following duties: Leading 1:1 or small group sessions for students in a core subject areaPlanning and preparing intervention sessionsMarking and assessing workMonitoring and reviewing the progress of studentsAttending departmental meetingsSupporting revision sessions Job purposeThe purpose of this position is to support students with their academic work and to raise their progress, attainment and aspirations.
