Primary High Needs Provision Teacher - SparkhillA welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Sparkhill is seeking a committed and experienced Teacher to join their team on a long-term, full-time basis (Monday-Friday), starting this Monday for the right candidate.This position is based within the school''s High Needs Provision, supporting pupils with complex additional needs.You will be working with a small group of pupils who present with: High levels of autism Potential PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profiles Complex communication and sensory needsThe provision requires a calm, structured and nurturing practitioner who can deliver highly personalised learning while maintaining clear boundaries and consistent routines.Key Responsibilities: Planning and delivering differentiated, personalised learning Creating a low-arousal, autism-friendly environment Implementing strategies to support emotional regulation and engagement Working closely with TAs and support staff within the provision Liaising with parents, SENCO and external professionals Monitoring progress through EHCP targets and personalised plansThe Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Previous experience in a special school setting or significant experience supporting pupils with complex autism needs Strong understanding of autism-specific strategies and structured approaches Experience supporting pupils with PDA profiles (desirable) Excellent behaviour management and de-escalation sk
