We are currently representing a multi-academy education trust based in North London and helping them to source a new Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team on a temporary to permanent basis.

The permanent salary is paying £40,000 and you must be minimum part-qualified. The perfect candidate would also have prior experience working in the education sector.

The duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting and assisting the Director of Finance in the implementation of a financial reporting system across the Trust
• Providing accurate analysis for income expenditure, as well as variances for budget reporting purposes
• Working with the Trust Finance Manager on month end duties to ensure all month end journals are accurately recorded on time
• Supporting the Director of Finance with financial forecasting
• Reviewing each academy’s trial balance to ensure funds are being used correctly
• Performing monthly reconciliations of income, including all income received from the local authority
• Preparing and posting ledger entries

Criteria:

• Minimum part-qualified is essential
• Prior experience working in the education sector is desirable
• Experience using Access system is desirable

• 36 hours per week
• Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
