Autism Support Worker - Scunthorpe
Supporting Children & Young People with Autism, Complex Needs, and Learning Difficulties (Ages 5-19)

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for Autism Support Workers to join a specialist setting in Scunthorpe. This rewarding role involves providing one-to-one and small group support for students aged 5-19 with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive team that helps every student grow in confidence, independence, and resilience.

As an Autism Support Worker, you will:

• Provide individualised support for children and young people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs.

• Encourage learning, communication, and independence through structured activities and routines.

• Build positive and trusting relationships, creating a safe and inclusive environment where students can thrive.

• Assist teachers and therapists in delivering personalised learning programmes.

• Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and social interaction.

We are looking for people who are:

• Patient, calm, and empathetic.

• Proactive and adaptable to meet a wide range of needs.

• Genuinely passionate about supporting children and young people with autism and additional needs.

• Experienced in working with children or vulnerable young people (desirable but not essential).

• Able to provide (or willing to apply for) a DBS on the Update Service.

Relevant training (such as Team Teach, Makaton, PECS, or Autism Awareness) would be an advantage, but full training and CPD will be provided.

• Weekly pay (paid every Friday).
