Major Food Group is hiring experienced Sous Chef to join our opening team at Carbone London, located inside the Chancery Rosewood Hotel. This fine-dining concept is hiring an experienced Sous Chef with a strong work ethic to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism.Base pay range
$50,000.00/yr - $55,000.00/yrResponsibilities
Sourcing, ordering and receiving the highest quality ingredientsDeveloping, teaching, and maintaining all recipes and techniquesExecuting menu items from start to finishOrganizing a large team and holding each chef accountable for their responsibilitiesOverseeing and maintaining a smooth professional serviceMaintaining all kitchen equipment and following up for any repairs neededMaintaining high standards of cleanliness and organizationOverseeing scheduling and inventory to work within a set budgetRequirements
3+ years progressive experience in BOH operations, fine dining or Michelin Rated restaurant experience is preferredStrong knowledge of and competency performing BOH administrative duties, excellent organization skills and attention to detailsExcellent communication skills, self-motivated and demonstrates the ability to make quick and sound decisionsProven ability in training and mentoring staff to continuously develop their skills and knowledge while providing leadership and directionMajor Food Group considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status.
