Maintenance Engineer
We are currently recruiting for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business operating heavy industrial machinery.The successful engineer will play a key role in maintaining production uptime, carrying out electrical fault finding and breakdown repairs, while also supporting planned preventative maintenance across the site.As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring production equipment and heavy machinery operate safely and efficiently. The role is predominantly reactive maintenance, responding to breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime, alongside scheduled PPM tasks.Responsibilities:Electrical fault finding on production and heavy machineryResponding to equipment breakdowns and carrying out timely repairsSupporting and completing planned preventative maintenance schedulesWorking with motors, drives, sensors, control systems and associated electrical componentsAssisting with mechanical repairs when required (bearings, conveyors, gearboxes, etc.)Identifying root causes of faults and implementing corrective actionsEnsuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety proceduresSupporting continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance functionThe Ideal CandidateA recognised engineering qualification (NVQ / City and Guilds / HNC or equivalent)Strong electrical fault-finding abilityExperience working with heavy machinery or industrial equipmentMechanical maintenance experience (basic to inte
