Immediate need for a Quantity Surveyor to join our client''s team in Bedford to assist with the delivery of a long-term maintenance contact. You will be an experienced Quantity Surveying professional with a background in highways engineering, projects and contracts. Duties will include: Maximise commercial return on the contract. Drive value for money and efficiency savings in accordance with contract delivery Be continually aware of the profitability of orders that form part of the contract Review and report weekly cost and value for projects and maintenance schemes and liaison with operations Manage Subcontract accounts from procurement to final account Monthly forecasting of the contract Making sure accurate records are maintained and supplied to client Commercial management and reporting in conjunction with operational managers Work in Partnership with the Client and in a collaborative manner Management of Subcontractors from Enquiry to Final Account Assist finance in compiling of monthly applications for payments Compiling monthly CVR reports and reviewing with Managers This is a long term contracting role with a major highways business, with the potential for OUTSIDE IR35 set up.
