Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading children''s care home to find a Team Leader to join the team in Greenford, West London. The children''s home offers a comprehensive residential service for young people with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviour aged between 8-18 years. Duties: To join a team of residential care staff ensuring that safe and appropriate care practices are always maintained To support the Manager in all aspects of the home s operation, whilst maintaining positive childcare practice, in keeping with the aims and objectives of the home To provide a safe, warm and supportive environment to our residents whilst being involved in the planning and organisation of the home To maintain a regular recording system in connection with each young person, be involved in the implementation of care plans and assist in the publication of reports when required To attend review and planning meetings when required Responsibilities: To foster and encourage, wherever appropriate contact between residents and their families To maintain good liaison and co-operate with external agencies, eg: social workers, consultant staff and others concerned with the welfare of the individual residents To demonstrate both sensitivity and appropriate assertiveness, whilst working in a pressured environment with groups of diverse residents and staff. Carry out the duties of the post in a mature and responsible manner, seeking and receiving support as necessary Requir
