Accounts Assistant
This local business who are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to support them on a 3 month temporary contract. The role will require someone who has experience across purchase ledger, sales ledger and nominal ledger. Job Description: As the Accounts Assistant you will match, input and post purchase invoices into the invoice register and purchase ledger accurately Review the Finance worktray and bulk post invoices that have been approved Review worktray report for any discrepancies and resolve Review supplier statements investigating and resolving any discrepancies As the Accounts Assistant you will generate a weekly payment run; liaising with relevant signatories to arrange availability for authorisation / sign off Ensure a remittance advice is issued to all suppliers with every payment that is made As the Accounts Assistant you will raise sales invoices, review debtors report weekly to ensure payments are received promptly and any issues a resolved Issue statements to debtors Allocate income to invoices Nominal Ledger Bank reconciliation General ledger posting Candidate Requirements: Experience of maintaining a finance function including sales ledger, purchase ledger and cashbook Previous experience within housing and knowledge of services charges would be an advantage Previous experience dealing with multiple cost centres would be ideal Experience of working with computerised finance packages Experience of communicating professionally and competently to resolv
