Our client, a leader in the wealth management sector, is looking to appoint a Group Data Governance, Risk and Protection OfficerThis is a senior, high-impact role within the Risk and Compliance Directorate of a leading financial services organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting client data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing enterprise-wide data governance practices.Key Responsibilities

Lead and take ownership of the Group Data Governance, Risk and Protection framework.Ensure data integrity, privacy, and resilience across all operations.Oversee data protection compliance and manage interactions with regulators.Drive second-line assurance, risk monitoring, and reporting to senior management and board-level committees.Collaborate with IT, Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit to enhance governance and security practices.Chair key committees overseeing information security and data governance.Ideal Candidate

Expert in GDPR, DPA, UK regulatory expectations, and information security standards.Strong background in risk, compliance, audit, or data protection within a multinational, regulated environment.Experienced in managing data incidents, breaches, and privacy impact assessments.Strategic, influential leader with excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.Role Details
