We are looking for an upbeat and empathetic male Support Worker to join our community support team in Throop, Bournemouth on a part time basis.Due to the needs of the person we support, we can only consider male candidates with experience in Health and Social care including Autism or Challenging behaviour.You will need to hold a Full UK driving licence, however, access to your own vehicle is not essential.Please note: Autism Unlimited does not provide visa sponsorshipThe roleWe support David, a young man in his thirties who lives in Throop.David communicates verbally using short phrases. He also uses PECS cards on his communication board to plan his day and to express his needs and choices.As part of David’s support team, you could be involved in:Going for a peaceful walk near Throop mill.Spending time in the garden where David enjoys bouncing on his trampoline or relaxing on the swing.Relaxing to music.David sees his family every week where they go for a walk and an ice cream.We’re always looking for new ways to help David engage with and be a part of his local community.At the core of our service is a commitment to promoting independence.
