Senior Civil Engineer

First People Solutions is working with a leading consulting engineer known for delivering complex, high-hazard projects across sectors including Power, Life Sciences, Defence and Aviation. Our client is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Civil & Structural team, playing a key role in delivering quality designs across a range of projects.

This is a great opportunity to work on genuinely challenging projects that go beyond typical consultancy work, within a business recognised for its stability and strong, supportive culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead delivery of infrastructure design packages while coordinating small teams
• Produce and check calculations, drawings and models, including subcontractor reviews
• Support bids, reporting and multidisciplinary project delivery
• Develop practical, sustainable solutions and mentor junior team members

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineer or equivalent, ideally Chartered (CEng) or close to
• 5-10 years'' experience working in an UK design engineering environment
• Strong experience in drainage, earthworks, SuDS, pavements and utilities
• Proficient in Civil 3D and AutoCAD
• Good understanding of British standards and design guidance
• InfoDrainage, PDS or similar software experience is a plus
• Full UK drivers'' licence and able to obtain security clearance (SC)
