Group Payroll Manager

Summary of the role''s main purpose: This role reports to the Head of Payroll in day-to-day managerial responsibility across the Group Salaries Team, ensuring that the highest level of customer service is provided to both internal and external customersTo ensure full governance is always in place and compliance with statutory requirementsThe role will be to work in close connection with the Assistant Payroll Manager and the Senior Payroll Analyst on a day-to-day basis making sure there is a smooth running of the payrolls under the team''s remit Key Responsibilities:Line management responsibility for the complete teamOverseeing all People Management including weekly 121 meetings and bi-annual PDR completion and documentationMaintaining relationships with service providers FMP/IRIS and ActivMaintaining the bureau payroll relationshipActing as the escalation point for payroll-related processes and liaising with HR for issue resolutionEnsuring tax compliance with the Group Tax ManagerOverseeing the collation of all workload and task rota of team on day-to-day processing with the assistance from the Assistant Payroll ManagerCarrying out training assessment requirements needed for the Team and making sure this is executedOverseeing the Tax compliance reporting across all payrolls in house and bureau including Payrolling Benefits in Kind and P11D reportingFinal responsibility for all checking and control process within the teamPerforming final month end checking and exception contro
