Maintenance Engineer
Reed has partnered with a family owned manufacturing site who are going through sustained growth. They are looking to expand their engineering team and are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to help ensure production equipment runs efficiently, reliably, and safely.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair production and process equipment across multiple sites.Carry out both electrical and mechanical maintenance, including wiring, fault finding, component replacement, and system repairs.Work with a wide range of equipment and components such as PLCs, inverters, heating elements, servo motors, contactors, overloads, and various sensors (inductive, reed, proximity, etc.).Conduct mechanical repairs on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, shafts, tensioners, bearings, and associated machinery.Maintain and support equipment including high-speed packing lines, fillers, pasteurisers, printers, case/boxing machines, and inspection systems.Accurately record breakdowns, maintenance activities, and corrective actions.Deliver and continuously improve planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime and support OEE targets.Contribute to engineering improvement projects and ongoing performance enhancements.What You''ll NeedStrong electrical maintenance background is essential.Working knowledge of PLC-controlled systems and automated production equipment.Mechanical experience with conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and similar machinery.Confident IT and docume
