Mech Tech Professionals have an opportunity available for a Plant Maintenance Technician to apprehend a full-time position based in Port Talbot.

Our client, a leading manufacturer of Nutritional Supplements, is looking for an experienced Plant Maintenance Technician (Fermentation) to join their team and to work on their state-of-the-art fermentation facility based in Port Talbot.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Monitor and maintain steam systems, including boilers, components, and controls

• Maintain compressed air systems and associated equipment

• Oversee HVAC and humidity control systems

• Maintain and replace pumps and valves (manual, pneumatic, modulating)

• Handle and maintain systems using liquid nitrogen and industrial gases

• Monitor and maintain fluid and chemical dosing systems

• Maintain pressure vessels, chilled water, and vacuum systems

• Ensure all work is carried out in line with safe systems of work and isolation procedures

Requirements:

• Qualified in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical bias preferred)

• Understanding of automated controls / HMI / PLC systems (no programming required)

• Ability to read and work from P&IDs

• Experienced in maintenance within a process or fermentation plant environment (advantageous)

• Confined space experience (desirable)

• IOSH Managing Safely (beneficial)

• Welding, soldering, grinding, and general hot works experience (advantageous)
