Workshop Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Workshop Engineer to join their specialised engineering team in Coalville.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician or Mechanical Engineer looking to advance their career into the HGV and specialist equipment sector.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and repairing advanced water and sewer cleaning machinery, contributing to a growing and professional workshop environment.

Duties of a Workshop Engineer:

• Maintain, service, and repair specialist HGV body equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on specialist machinery
• Complete service and compliance documentation accurately
• Deliver high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
• Ensure safe and efficient workshop operations
• Support continuous training and knowledge sharing within the team

Requirements of a Workshop Engineer:

• Proven experience working on HGVs, LCVs, or commercial vehicles
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• Capable of diagnostics and fault finding
• Full UK driving licence is essential
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A team player with a positive attitude towards learning and development
