sectorto be the finance lead supporting our major capital projects. This role will provide financial control, planning, reporting and compliance for construction activities, ensuring robust project cost management and strategic financial insight. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between finance, project teams, outsourced partners and senior leadership, controlling financial performance and supporting decision-making across the construction portfolio.Key Responsibilities:Financial Leadership and ControlLead the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements for construction projectsEnsure accurate cost tracking, variance analysis, and timely reporting to senior stakeholdersOversee cash flow forecasting and working capital management for construction activitiesStrategic Planning and AnalysisDrive budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with project timelines and business goalsProvide financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic decisionsPartner with project managers to evaluate financial performance and optimise outcomesCompliance and Risk ManagementEnsure adherence to financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirementsLead preparation for internal and external audits related to construction financeIdentify and mitigate financial risks across the construction portfolioProcess Improvement and SystemsChampion continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and reporting toolsSupport the implementation and optimisation of ERP and planning platforms (e.g., Oracle Fusion)Stakeholder EngagementAct as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and project teamsManage relationships and information flows with 3rd party outsource partnersCommunicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholdersCollaborate cross-functionally to align financial strategies with operational goalsEssential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountantMinimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role within the construction
