We are seeking an

IT Support Engineer – Hardware Deployment

to join a large-scale IT project in Merthyr Tydfil. This role involves carrying out installation and deployment tasks to ensure smooth delivery of desktop hardware and end-user equipment.Location and Contract

6 months - Monday to Thursday, variable shift patternsResponsibilities

Un-box and install desktop hardware to desks, connecting peripherals and cables (power, network, etc).Perform basic power-on self-tests to confirm functionality.Initiate automated builds and complete simple scripted post-login configurations.Work independently or as part of a team to deliver to agreed timelines.Ensure all work is completed accurately and to a high standard.Provide support for variable shift patterns as required by the business.Requirements

Previous IT hardware installation or deployment experience.Basic knowledge of desktop hardware, cabling, and peripherals.Ability to follow scripted processes accurately.Strong attention to detail and reliability.Good communication and customer service skills.Flexibility to work across variable shift patterns (Mon–Thu).Seniority level
