AUDIT, ACCOUNTS and BUSINESS SERVICES SENIOR Overall objective Responsible for the effective provision of a range of accounting, audit and business services to a variety of clients together with conducting ad hoc special assignments as requested by the managers/partners. Responsibilities To provide quality accounting and audit services to a varied client portfolio. To plan audits ensuring that each stage is completed to the firm''s standards, overseeing the work of junior staff as appropriate. To meet own individual performance level criteria/objectives such as chargeable %, recoverability etc. To prepare final accounts for clients or ensure these are prepared to the appropriate standard by junior staff. To prepare business tax computations, corporation tax computations and draft corporate tax returns to a satisfactory standard for review/agreement by manager(s)/partner(s) dealing with the clients. To ensure that all statutory returns are completed and filed on time, are accurate and in keeping with best practice, and that all follow up action is anticipated, planned and implemented. To ensure that clients are kept informed about their obligations and deadlines and that they are kept up to date with any relevant changes in legislation or best practice. To take a lead role in the planning and monitoring of own workflow, and the effective financial management, of accounts and audit work under own control.
