Quality Engineer-

Owen Daniels are supporting a well-established and growing manufacturing business in recruiting for a-Quality Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with a strong production or manufacturing engineering background, looking to play a key role in driving quality improvements across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely containment, investigation, and closure
• Conduct structured root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys (5Y) and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
• Monitor quality performance, analyse trends, and drive continuous improvement activities
• Support internal and external audits where required
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure quality standards are consistently met

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role within a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong working knowledge of NCR management, 8D, 5 Whys, and root cause analysis tools
• Background in manufacturing or production engineering would be highly advantageous
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical and analytical approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
