Job Description:
vandnbsp; Provide Personalised Support: Work closely with pupils with PMLD, offering tailored assistance with communication, sensory needs, and physical care.
vandnbsp; Foster Independence and Wellbeing: Encourage pupils to engage with their environment and develop life skills through structured routines and sensory-based activities.
vandnbsp; Collaborate with Specialists: Work alongside teachers, therapists, and medical professionals to implement EHCPs and individual learning plans.
vandnbsp; Create a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure pupils feel secure, valued, and supported throughout the school day.
vandnbsp; Support with Personal Care: Assist with feeding, toileting, and mobility needs in a respectful and dignified manner.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
vandnbsp; Have experience working with children or young people withandnbsp;PMLD,andnbsp;complex medical needs, orandnbsp;severe learning difficultiesandnbsp;(desirable but not essential).
vandnbsp; Beandnbsp;compassionate,andnbsp;patient, andandnbsp;emotionally resilient, with aandnbsp;calm and positive approach to behaviour and communication.
vandnbsp; Demonstrate aandnbsp;strong understanding of safeguarding,andnbsp;manual handling, andandnbsp;personal care protocols.
vandnbsp; Be aandnbsp;team playerandnbsp;who isandnbsp;adaptable,andnbsp;proactive, andandnbsp;committed to inclusive education.
vandnbsp; Hold aandnbsp;current DBS checkandnbsp;(or be willing to obtain one) and beandnbsp;committed to the welfare of vulnerable learners.
