Finance and Operations Officer - Tring

Pertemps is currently recruiting for a Finance Operations Officer for our client in Hertfordshire.

Salary: -36,000 - -38,000 (DOE)

Hours: 9 am-5 pm

Job overview:

To deliver high-quality financial support and insightful analysis that drives strategic and operational decision-making, while supporting the efficient and compliant administration. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, operational effectiveness, and adherence to all relevant legislation and internal compliance.

Duties:

- Oversee the day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with financial reporting packs.
- Support long-term financial planning and scenario modelling to inform strategic decisions.
- Process invoices, payments, and employee expense claim accurately and on time.
- Ensure full compliance with current accounting standards
- Preparation of payroll and pension files for payroll bureau/pension provider associated administration.
- Liaising with external auditors, banking contacts, and financial advisers
- Assist with external annual financial audits

Administration:

- Provide administrative support for the effective operation
- Offer cover for key administrative functions during staff absences.
- Assist with on boarding of new team members.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required by the Head of Finance and Operations

Requirements:

- Bachelor''s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field and/ or Part or fully qualified accountant (AAT / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years'' experience in a similar role, with a strong history in financial planning, analysis, and administrative support
- Proficient in the use of financial systems and accounting software, such as Sage 50 accounts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data sets effectively.
