Operations and Facilities Manager
Primary objective of this position: We are seeking an experienced Operations and Facilities Manager -to take ownership of our site operations, facilities, compliance obligations, and support with commercial contracts. This is not a warehouse management role. While operational oversight is essential, the role is primarily focused on commercial judgement, supplier and contract management, statutory compliance, and delivery of site and systems projects. You will work closely with senior leadership and external partners, ensuring the delivery of key facilities tasks, how risks are managed, and how improvement projects are delivered. Reporting to : Commercial Director Number of reports: 9 direct reports Location: West Bromwich Contracted Hours : 40 hours per week Contract Term : Permanent Key responsibilities and performance measures for this role: Commercial and Contract Management Support in the management of external service contracts (facilities, utilities, compliance, specialist contractors). Support and assist with commercial contract negotiation, renewals, and performance management. Challenge suppliers on scope, cost, service levels, and compliance. Act as the internal point of accountability for third-party service delivery. Facilities and Site Management Take ownership of site facilities, including 9 reports, ensuring they are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
