Senior IT Software Quality Assurance Engineer (hybrid)

– Insulet CorporationPosition Overview: This position will be primarily responsible for testing various applications newly developed by the Mobile and Cloud Software Engineering group. The role will be directly involved in building an automation framework for testing the mobile software and cloud-based services, and will eventually develop automated tests in conjunction with development efforts.Responsibilities

Build test frameworks and methodologies that define the testing process used as part of the agile software development process.Develop and execute test suites for Android mobile applications.Develop and execute test suites for cloud-based web service applications.Work closely with the software development team to identify and correct defects.Develop and maintain a test database for automated validation tests of software revisions.Collaborate with Development, QA, and IT teams.Participate in product design reviews.Performs other duties as required.Education And Experience

B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a similar field; demonstrated experience in software design and software testing; hands-on experience testing web-based and mobile software applications.Preferred Skills And Competencies

Strong software skills, including Java, JUnit or TestNG.Deep knowledge of the Android technology stack.Strong understanding of HTTP protocols, REST, SOA.Proficiency with source control, continuous integration, and testing methods (e.g., Git, Perforce).Familiarity with Continuous Build Systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo.In-depth knowledge of software testing methodology, test development, and test execution.Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA regulations and international standards applicable to medical device software development, verification and validation is a plus.Physical Requirements
