I am partnering with a secure government services client who are looking for an experienced Data Centre Engineer to join their team.You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting critical infrastructure in a full-time, onsite data centre role in the Reading area. You will work hands-on with a wide range of hardware, networking and power technologies in a highly secure environment.Due to the urgency and nature of the work, we are ideally looking for a sole British National with active DV clearance preferred.Some of the work you will be involved in, includes:Maintaining and supporting infrastructure and computer equipment within secure data centres.Installing, upgrading and swapping hardware appliances and line-replaceable items.Working with power technologies and fibre/copper patching in line with data centre standards.Diagnosing faults using structured techniques, with and without test equipment.Investigating issues, identifying root causes and advising product teams on physical constraints.Ensuring documentation, procedures and standards are accurate and kept up to date, and liaising with vendors on compatibility and compliance.I am therefore keen to speak with candidates who haveExperience working with infrastructure and computer equipment in data centres.Good understanding of infrastructure technol
