Provide future proofing through Mill/site projects and or upgrades for site plant and processes.To deputise for the Engineering Manager when necessary. The mechanical lead is instrumental in the site achieving production / down time targets, driving positive change by developing and refining the PPM system, investigating mechanical failures and learning from previous events. Ensuring spares procurement and refurbishment of repairable items is properly controlled both for in-house and external repairs. Assisting with the specification, installation and commissioning of CAPEX projects to improve the site. The Mechanical Lead works closely with the Engineering Manager and the intention is that when up to speed on site that they will deputise for the Engineering Manager as required.
