The Role
As an Internal Sales and Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing customer accounts, qualifying sales inquiries, providing outstanding customer service, and identifying profitable opportunities. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, handling both sales and service enquiries, and helping to drive business growth through upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage existing customer accounts, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships
- Qualify incoming sales inquiries, assessing their alignment with our offerings and profitability goals
- Handle customer service enquiries, addressing issues and providing resolutions to ensure a seamless experience
- Prepare accurate quotes and proposals, with a focus on margin and profit optimization
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue from existing clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of customer requirements
- Provide regular updates on sales performance, account status, and customer feedback
- Monitor industry trends and customer needs to proactively suggest improvements or solutions
- Work with confidence to manage internal communications and contribute to team success
- Proven experience in internal sales, account management, or customer service (preferably in manufacturing or a technical environment)
- Commercially astute, with a solid understanding of pricing, margins, and profitability
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Confident in managing sales and service enquiries, taking initiative to resolve issues efficiently
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
