We are seeking a skilled Fabricator / Metal worker to join one of our clients based in South Birmingham. The ideal candidates will have experience in metal fabrication, welding, and machining, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work from technical drawings. This role requires a proactive approach, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards. You will be working on bespoke, luxury, high-end and historic projects in lighting manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: Perform metal fabrication tasks, including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components. Operate general machining tools with precision. Carry out TIG welding, MIG welding, brazing, and silver soldering as required. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints for accurate fabrication. Work independently and take initiative to complete assigned tasks efficiently. Assemble components with precision and attention to detail. Maintain a high level of craftsmanship and quality control. General understanding of wiring. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a General Machinist / Fabricator. Strong TIG and MIG welding, brazing, and silver soldering skills. Ability to read technical drawings and follow specifications accurately. Experience with metalworking tools and equipment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative. Working hours : 40 hours week, Monday to Friday ,
