Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Provide mechanical design solutions as instructed by the Senior/Project Engineers. Input on projects, using sound technical competencies. Produce engineering designs, specifications and documentation. Assist in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals. Assist sales and marketing in the preparation of quotes and proposals. Education/Qualifications (Essential): Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related/equivalent subject (lesser qualifications coupled with suitable experience may be considered in some circumstances). Technical Competencies (Essential): Sound Mechanical engineering knowledge. 3D CAD modelling using Solidworks and PDM Finite Element Analysis using Ansys and/or SolidWorks Simulation. Structural analysis including hand calculations. Mechanical assembly techniques and maintenance. Inspection, testing and certification requirements. Completing and checking designs and documentation. Tolerancing, limits and fits. Technical Competencies (desirable): Mechanisms, kinematics, and power transmission. Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques, anodising, welding, heat treatment, painting, additive, machining, cutting, folding, and NDT requirements. The role comes with a very l
