Our cloud-native platform uses predictive artificial intelligence and machine learning to support airport operations with secure, scalable solutions that can be accessed remotely via a web interface.About YouWe are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst / IT Security Specialist with a strong foundation in security operations and compliance frameworks. You have experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar standards and understand their technical and operational implications. You are comfortable working across Microsoft 365, Intune MDM, Microsoft Defender, and SIEM platforms such as Sentinel, supporting and securing both Mac and Windows environments.You thrive in a hands-on security role where you can directly influence the protection of systems, data, and users. This role does not include direct reports but requires ownership, accountability, and collaboration with IT and business stakeholders. The role is based in our Stockport office with a hybrid working model.Summary Of RoleAs a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be responsible for securing our IT environment and products by managing vulnerabilities, building detections, and responding to threats. You will monitor systems, remediate risks, and lead incident response to ensure swift containment and recovery. This role covers the full scope of IT security operations, helping us maintain resilience and compliance against evolving threats.What are we looking for?Proven experience in a cybersecurity or IT security role, ideally covering both cloud and on-premise environments.Hands-on experience with vulnerability management and remediation, including patching, configuration hardening, and risk prioritisation.Practical skills in MDM (Intune), EDR/AV solutions (Microsoft Defender or similar), and SIEM platforms (Sentinel or equivalent).Ability to monitor, write, and tune detections, and respond effectively to security incidents.Experience managing Microsoft 365 security controls and applying best practices to protect collaboration and productivity platforms.Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST) and ability to implement relevant security policies and procedures.Strong incident response experience, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident reviews.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills — able to translate technical risk into clear business impact.A proactive, self-driven mindset with a passion for strengthening security across people, processes, and technology.Job ResponsibilitiesOwnership and ImpactProvide technical expertise in cyber security, responding to and resolving security incidents promptly.Implement and maintain security measures to protect our computer systems, networks, and data.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security vulnerabilities and deliver high quality solutions to cyber security issues.Utilise security tools and technologies to monitor and analyse network traffic for signs of suspicious activity.Document security incidents, investigations, and resolutions using ticketing systems.Prioritise and manage multiple security tasks concurrently, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.Adhere to change management processes and comply with SLAs for incident response and resolution.Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and documentation.Stay informed about emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to proactively enhance our security posture.Actively participate in applying Cyber Security best practices to Product Development Projects both technically and from a processes point of view.Analyse potential data-loss breaches to determine their impact and root cause.The duties and responsibilities of the role may vary and change depending on the AeroCloud business needs.Job BenefitsWhat''s in it for youCompetitive salaryFlexible working environment25 days annual leave + statutory holidaysTake your birthday off work on us as wellAccess to our Employee Assistance ProgramExtensive upskilling and trainingCompany pension schemeAccess to employee perks and discountsOur ethosAeroCloud recognises Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion as core to our business.
