Assistant Residential Support Worker - Children and Young People Salary: 25,922 - 28,624 (pro rata for 25 hours per week) Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per weekAre you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? We are looking for committed and resilient individuals to join our team as Assistant Residential Support Workers in a secure, supportive, and structured environment that prioritises the welfare and development of the young people in our care.Key Responsibilities:Promote the best interests of children and young people, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.Work proactively with children who may display challenging behaviours, ensuring they have access to advocacy and complaints procedures.Act as a consistent advocate for the children and young people in your care.Communicate effectively and professionally-verbally, non-verbally, and in writing.Apply knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation and safeguard best practices.Implement and follow behaviour management strategies, including those learned through MAPA (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression) training.Contribute to and implement care plans, risk assessments, and other associated documentation.Work closely and sensitively with children, young people, their families, and multi-agency professionals.Uphold safeguarding protocols and report any concerns in line with statutory guidance.Demonstrate safe working practices and high levels of confidentiality
