SEN Behaviour Analyst – Godalming
– Education and Training – Graduate – Autism – ASD – ASC – Speech and Language – SEN – Special NeedsJob Type: Permanent – £23,000 per annum + £1,000 joining bonusSector: Education and Training – GodalmingThis SEN Behaviour Analyst role is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in teaching children with Special Educational Needs. The role is based in Godalming, at a school for children aged 4–19 with autism, graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. You will have access to funded training and qualification opportunities in SEN education while gaining experience with children of varying ages and abilities. The school uses behaviour-driven teaching strategies and interventions to encourage positive outcomes and student development. You will work within small classes, both individually and in groups. As a SEN Behaviour Analyst, you will design, plan and deliver teaching sessions to encourage pupils’ learning and progression, as well as improving their social and emotional development. What do current employees have to say?
This is not like any mainstream school, and probably not like a lot of SEN schools. It can feel overwhelming at first, but it becomes second nature. Applied Behaviour Analysis helps you understand the behaviours of the pupils and think of ways to help them feel happier and achieve more. The team is very supportive, and there are opportunities for learning and progression, whether through study or working through the ranks. I have recently stepped into a new role as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and the Senior Mental Health Lead for pupils, as well as completing a Mental Health Responder course to support our staff as a Mental Health First Aider. It can be hard and tiring, but it is rewarding to see the pupils achieve even small things. — BillieResponsibilities
