Tunnel Surveyor (Tunnel Construction Project)

Tunnel Surveyor
to join our team for a tunnel construction project in the
South London area, 100% Onsite .
Project:
Tunnel construction.
Estimated Duration:
24 months. In general, when the project ends, we try to relocate the employee to other projects to ensure continuity.
Responsibilities
Perform precise surveying and staking out of tunnel axes, profiles, and sections.
Operate and manage surveying equipment (total stations, laser scanners, digital levels, etc.).
Establish and maintain geodetic control networks inside the tunnel.
Monitor convergence, settlement, and other structural deformations.
Coordinate with construction and design teams to ensure accurate execution.
Prepare and deliver field reports, sketches, and survey data.
Supervise assistants and ensure safety compliance in confined spaces.
Qualifications
Degree or technical diploma in Geomatics, Surveying, or Civil Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in tunnel or underground surveying.
Proficiency with topographic software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Leica Geo Office).
Strong understanding of tunnel construction methods (TBM).
Ability to work in confined spaces, on shifts, and under pressure.
Right to work in the UK.
Working Hours
Currently: Monday to Friday, day shift, 10 hours/day (including 1h lunch).
Once TBM starts: rotating shifts.
Option A:
12-hour shifts (day/night) ? 7 days on, 3 days off, 7 days on, 4 days off.
Option B:
10-hour shifts (day/evening/night) ? 7 days on, 2 off, 7 days on, 2 off, 7 days on, 3 off.
