Our Client, a large Finance Sector firm, are seeking a Senior Payments Technician to join payments team.Reporting to the Payments Manager, you will primarily be responsible for the processing of a variety of company payments and expenses. The main responsibilities will include: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in outward payments, banking platforms, journaling, and MI reporting Support the Payments Manager in the daily running of the team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all payments and receipts Maintain and enhance system controls, identifying and implementing improvements where necessary Analyse management information (MI) to identify trends, reduce risk, and improve internal processes and customer experience Build and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and internal stakeholders Provide training, mentoring, and support to team members, ensuring high standards of accuracy and performance Represent the team in meetings and projects, contributing technical expertise and leadership Confidently manage workloads and priorities in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment The ideal candidate for the role of Senior Payments Technician will have: A minimum of 5 years'' operational experience in payments and accounts payable Expert user of banking platforms or similar and expert user of Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines E
