Complex Care Assistant (Tracheostomy Trained)Client Needs:

Severe Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Tracheostomy for Tracheomalacia, Long-term JEJ and PEG

About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and compassionate

Complex Carer

to support a client with

severe cerebral palsy

and complex health needs. The role involves providing safe, person-centred care in the home, ensuring dignity, comfort, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Tracheostomy care

including suctioning, monitoring, and emergency response

Support with

respiratory care

(cough assist, suctioning)

Administer feeds/medication via

PEG and JEJ

(including venting)

Assist with

seizure management

following epilepsy protocols

Use

hoist and moving/handling equipment

for safe transfers

Keep clear care records and communicate with family and healthcare team

Requirements

Tracheostomy training and competence

(essential)

Experience with

PEG/JEJ feeding

and medication administration

Knowledge of

epilepsy and seizure management

Trained in

manual handling and hoist use

Compassionate, reliable, and able to work shifts including nights/weekends
