Product Design Engineer - Worcestershire- up to -40,000 + Benefits - REF 2000

I am currently recruiting for a Product Design Engineer to work for a leading engineering manufacturing organisation based in the Worcestershire. Salary up to -40,000 + Benefits.

The organisation is a specialist UK manufacturer renowned for their consumer electronic products. They have been established for close to 15 years and work operate at the forefront of the market from their centre of excellence in the Worcestershire supporting their broad and ever evolving client base.

To support continued business growth, they are seeking to appoint a Product Design Engineer on a permanent basis.

In this role as a Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing new products from concept to manufacture as well as modifying existing products to create innovative concepts and improve overall product performance and functionality. You will also produce detailed manufacturing drawings for subcontractors, along with assembly drawings and instructions for the in-house assembly team.

This is a hands on position where you will sometimes be working in a lab and this could include building and assembling prototypes, metal fabrication, 3D printing and wiring of electrical components. You will need to be comfortable getting involved in the practical aspects of the role beyond design work alone.

Essential requirements:

• Atleast 1 years'' experience as a Product Design Engineer, Product Development Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or similar
• 3D CAD
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and CNC machined components
• Experience working with Electrical / Electro-Mechanical components

Desirable Requirements:

• Inventor
• Autodesk Vault
• Plastic Injection Moulding
• Die Casting
